Uncommon Records - The Missing Link LP

Release Date: 17/06/2019
Label: Uncommon Records
Catalog: UNCMN 006
A year in the making, Uncommon Records is about to drop a compilation which will whet many Glastonbury goers’ appetites in the lead up to its launch, with global attendees drawn to their massive show ground for one of the biggest gatherings of music listeners in the world. The official imprint of The Common, which delivers the colossal field for the festival, their commitment to music has been unshakeable and this can be seen through the calibre of artists they’ve brought on board to add their take on the Glastonbury sound. These artists are also featured on the festival’s heavyweight line up via The Common’s stage, and it’s a line up which reinstates why Glastonbury is such a hotly tipped date in the calendars of many ravers.
The ‘Missing Link’ brings eleven brand new exclusives from many trend-setting names, including Critical Music’s head honcho Kasra and drum & bass stalwart Kanine, a producer who’s been dominating DJ sets recently with his slickly produced cuts. However, there’s a host of styles catered for throughout the LP, from hip hop to reggae, right through to drum & bass and jungle.
Key figures to the release on the label are Uk Hiphop legends Foreign Beggars, who bring their unique sound into the mix with ‘Supreme’, potentially one of their final tracks together. Kasra delivers his precision sound with his ‘Needles’ track, and Serial Killaz deliver the monstrous jungle anthem ‘RinseSomeTune’. Kanine’s brings his fresh new sound with ‘Searching’ and Euphonique & Killamanjaro’s Manchester styled, stripped back vibe follows with ‘Everything Bless’. Resist takes you on a deep, rolling tip with ‘Vortices’ whilst Jimbitch & Warrior Queen offer some raw ragamuffin business with ‘Killer’. DJ Hybrid’s heavyweight rework of ‘Plant Dem Seed’ continues to set standards, whilst Combat Wombat & YT offers the original reggae hip-hop classic. ‘Reptile’ from F.R.D. delivers with some hard-hitting vibes, then Bustawidemove & Natty Speaks wrap up the massive collection with the dub-infused future classic ‘Don’t Be Sad’.
Uncommon Records have granted you the perfect soundtrack not just for Glastonbury, but for the whole festival season. With such a strong line up, ‘The Missing Link’ is set to be one of the soundtracks of the summer.
