SR & Digbee return to Ghetto Dub after a few years away with their long-awaited Alternate Realities EP. Following their appearance on the Ghetto Dubz Vol 2 album back in 2019 with the track 'Dancehall,' this marks their first release as a duo since then.
The Alternate Realities EP is a journey through diverse yet cohesive Jungle vibes. Each track brings something different to the table, yet they all share a common energy that makes them flow perfectly as a whole. The opener, 'Runnin',' is a high-energy roller, featuring wicked Amen chops and ragga vocals that demand attention. 'Bristol Bass' takes listeners back to the gritty, bass-heavy sound of early Bristol drum & bass, evoking the spirit of the scene's pioneering days. On the flip side, 'Take Me' is a laid-back yet vibey offering with melodic layers, while 'Violet Eyes' takes a more chill, atmospheric approach, perfect for those late-night sessions.
This release brings SR & Digbee back to the sound they're known for, drawing on influences from their past work like the iconic 'Nostromo.' Fans will recognize the return of that raw energy, but with a new level of maturity and refinement in their sound.
