Audio Suicide present their first EP offering in the form of a 7 track onslaught of rough and ready drum & bass courtesy of residents Shadre & Salvage. As expected, you’re in for a bucket load of hard and fast beats, combined with savage production.
Those that have been following the label will already be aware of ‘She Wolf’ and ‘Make a Choice’. Two tracks that have already laid solid foundations for what’s to come. ‘Nine Circles’ comes correct with hardcore vocal stabs and enough snares in each bar to fill your boots while ‘Escalate’ provides soft synth pads and silky vocals mixed with wonky breakbeats. A complete opposites attract situation. ‘Tunnel Vision’ is a ‘take you on a journey’ type of track; if you can get the DJ to play it for more than a few seconds. The many aspects of the bass riff alone will keep punters interested from start to almost finish.
Whoever named ‘Purity’ needs to have a word, it’s about as pure as your local crackheads kitchen unless you’re solely talking about the bridge in the middle of the track.. ‘Falling’ ends the EP, suited to large scale events and aimed at potentially those who like to wave their phone lights in the air (and a lighter if you’re a dire hard junglist). Hands in the air for those liquid-ish vibes..
Not one for the TikTok brain crew, this EP is an education of long play.
