Bagged & Tagged are a record label who aren’t afraid to break out from the current musical trends and instead they deliver something a little less clean cut. They’ve never bowed down to create more mainstream appeal and instead have stayed true to their roots from the beginning. They’ve done this by searching out the artists who represent the Bagged & Tagged brand, the type of which have held their standards up to the level which the label has adhered to within their roster. An example of this would be their next release which features both Shadre and Salvage, artists who’ve both made their individual impacts on the drum & bass scene whilst also bringing their talents together for their forthcoming single on Bagged & Tagged.
Already releasing on the labels such as G13, Cell Recordings, Short Circuit Records, Switch!, Certified (AIA) and Bulletproof, Shadre has earned his stripes and from a young age he was influenced to shape a career within the drum & bass scene. Eps such as ‘Bounce with the Riddim’ on Short Circuit Records gained him international attention, something which didn’t go unnoticed by Bagged & Tagged. Similarly, Co Owner of Short Circuit Records Salvage has spent his time racking up an impressive stream of releases. His music on G13 Records has stood out amongst many of his counterparts, so his collaborations with Shadre will result in the same explosive reactions from fans during his tear out DJ sets.
‘Makes me Wanna Dance’ is the first to two tracks, with a hook slicing through like a knife. Pummeling drums and a chiseled bassline carries the record forward and it smashes through subs on impact. Its flipside ‘Equalise’ ft. RivalTechnique follows the same rhythms, just as destructive as its forerunner as it kicks into play. RivalTechnique adds his growling vocals for a dancefloor cut sure to get bodies moving within any club space. Together, they present the cutthroat style of Bagged & Tagged through another huge collaboration. With the duo showing such standards, don’t be surprised to hear new music from them soon. Especially on high-reaching platforms such as Bagged & Tagged.
