What is a chimera? A mythological monster with the head of a goat, end of a snake and also part lion? Immortal, inhuman, terrifying? A beast from the tales of the old Greeks, chimera has now come to mean any fictional creature whose parts are not only their own but taken from various animals thus producing an unnatural and perverse abomination in the eyes of the one and true God.
In the figurative sense, a similar new abomination of the musical kind has clawed its way into the drum and bass paradigm. Qo, Computerartist and the italian delicacy Merikan have cut off parts of their individual hearts and souls and threw it into the collective stewpot thus giving life to Blockade, a chimera of sound ready to turn the dancing floors into self-sustaining microcosms filled with dance fever and blind rage.
Blockade is energy condensed into six minutes and fifteen seconds of pure chimeric mixture of individual skills and talent of their respective mak ers. No place used for the gathering of the raving kind of people is safe from this three-headed atrocity.
