Nuke Records - Atomic Colabs Volume 1
Release Date: 16/03/2018
Label: Nuke Records
Catalog: NRUK007
The bomb has dropped and it’s definitely a Nuke!
The terrorist responsible for this release is the wanted fugitive Too Greezey, but it’s clear that he hasn’t orchestrated this on his own and had brought in a string of Bassline bandits to help because of the carnage found on this Collaboration EP. Contained within are 8 tracks of Greeziness featuring a link up with another artist that has radioactive results!
Leaf adds his trademark funkiness to “Bongo Funk” which really does what it says on the tin. This minimalistic stepper finds bongo drums weaving in and out of vocal vox samples and skream style synths that will muddy up any dance.
Profile pops up on “Moving On” which perfectly blends the signature sounds of both producers. Profiles schizophrenic synths and Too Greezeys’ booming bottom end mutate together to form this radioactive rewind inducing jump up banger.
Frequent co-conspirator Agro joins Too Greezey for the aptly titled “Skip the Rope”- the track skips along with wood block snares, computer blips and a Bristol style bass line that shakes like a hyperactive child drinking an Espresso!
“This Is My Town” recruits DJ Hybrid to the cause for what is Junglism at its finest- aggressive Amen’s combine with the radioactive resonance found in the brooding bass line to form a text book example of how to create an atmospheric roller capable of decimating any dance floor.
“Sekkle” with Verdikt is rolling royalty! This track has everything needed to shake up the dance floor stepping drums, filthy FX, brutal bass, and even a cow bell!!! Nothing rings in the impending doom quite like a cow bell!
Mentah joins Too Greezey for “Declaration of War”. This is definitely not a family friendly frequency squelching sub bass and megaton drums are the order of the day on this riot inducing rave wrecker!
“Taking Shape” finds Gravit-E joining the party and utilising liquid based samples reminiscent of Chinese water torture. This track is no form of interrogation though and pure pleasure for a Junglist- its smouldering synth bass, lush low passes and the overall dark vibe form a perfect peak time pulsate of a track.
“Selecta” see Lupo jump into the hot seat for a seismic stripped back bass shaker. Less is more here as the Bassline is the star of the show it shakes, rattles and rolls with the snappy snare and killer kick drum to create a track ruder than a tourettes sufferer jumping the queue!
Nuke Recordings hope you glow green with enjoyment from this radioactive release. Watch out for more mushroom clouds on the horizon when we drop the bomb again soon.
