Slamming right back into action with release 12, Nicky Blackmarket’s Kartoons label is once again ready to do serious damage to the dancefloor. This time recruiting Northampton’s Furniss for a double A side of relentless jump up rollers. Reminiscent of that classic jazz and funk vibe, the lead tune ‘Something Like This’ has already proven it’s worth on dubplate and with it’s tough, militant arrangement and squared off basslines, it’s certainly going to cause a commotion wherever it’s dropped.

‘War’ kicks off as to be expected and with it’s harsh exterior comes a bulletproof stepper that is as rough as they come. Drone bass shoots straight for the chest and instantly brings low end devastation. Rough, tough and dangerous.

It’s no wonder Furniss has been recruited to join the Kartoons camp and with a string of releases already lined up for 2018, this talented producer is welcome back anytime. Don’t be fooled, Kartoons 11 is coming, it’s just taking a while in the pressing plant.
