The first solo release from Matrix in almost a decade, 'Let's Go Back' fuses the raw, uncompromising spirit of his early productions, with the ferocious energy and contemporary standards which have made his cuts with Futurebound so successful. Intense, apocalyptic and expertly crafted, 'Let's Go Back' stands firmly at the cutting edge of drum & bass music in 2019.
< br>Matrix began his career with singles on such legendary labels as Moving Shadow, Metalheadz, Prototype and Hospital Records, before the release of his seminal 'Sleepwalk' album on Virus Recordings -considered by many as a key chapter in the foundations of drum & bass. His own imprint Metro Recordings was also heralded as a defining part of this journey. With early releases from Ed Rush & Optical, DJ Fresh, Dom & Roland and DJ Fierce, it played host to many of the leading names who went on to shape the genre. More recently Metro has become known for it's enduring alliance with Viper Recordings, delivering the immensely successful Matrix & Futurebound partnership. 'Lets Go Back' sees Metro Recordings continue on that path and once again signifies in 2019 why Matrix is so important within the drum & bass world.
