“What’s Happening from my perspective, comes from a place of exasperation and rebellion. While there are many beautiful things in this world, in the modern-day it’s also full of corruption, dishonesty and conflict, which can at times make it an exasperating place. In What’s Happening, I wanted to reflect on the fact that even if we are often forced to be involved with and contribute to flawed and imbalanced systems, we simultaneously retain the power and strength of mind to reject and rebel against them. “What’s happening was originally a solo project, but listening back I thought it needed the presence of an MC Tom (Twelve Step Audio) who I had worked with previously was my first thought.
Tom was excited from the off-set, and I knew his bars wouldn’t disappoint. His amazing style and I love how his accent compliments his material, which I would describe as deep and intelligent lyrics that work so perfectly with liquid. My hook is from personal experiences but the beauty of our collaboration made the track so much wider reaching. I had produced this track specifically to pitch to M-Ocean as I loved their ethos and repertoire and was really excited that they loved the track as much as we did.” (Keylo)
Keylo is a drum and bass producer, DJ and vocalist in the South West, UK. Beginning her journey studying music production at Brighton University in 2007, and moving into releasing and ghost producing commercial music. Keylo moved into the drum and bass scene as a vocalist in 2020 and began releasing her own material in 2022, quickly gaining attention from various record labels and other producers seeking vocals for their own tracks.
Keylo now has tracks releasing with Liquicities RIDMIC, High Tea Music, Fokuz / Celsuis Recordings, DNBB Records, Lizplay Records, Bass Star Records and Deep Audio Records.
A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, with 20 years of song writing and production experience and 8 years production studies behind her; eclectic influences help her approach to create emotional response and a connection with listeners. Each track is written and sung from her heart as a songwriter, creating a unique sound in her tracks with what has been described as unusual chord structures for drum and bass, that resonate with lovers of both commercial and bass music.

Starting out in his bedroom with a pair of belt drive turntables at the age of 15, over the past 18 years Twelve Step has cemented himself as an accomplished Drum & Bass producer, as well as a versatile and exciting DJ. With releases and forthcoming tracks on labels such as Influenza Media, Fokuz Recordings, M-Ocean Records and more, his music has also attracted support from DJ's such as Dom Whiting and rotation on BBC Radio 1, Bassdrive & DNBRadio. In recent times, Twelve Step’s musical output has shifted towards his MC work. Fusing together his passion for both Hip Hop and Drum & Bass music and paying homage to his early roots making and producing Hip Hop tracks. With a focus on conscious, thought provoking and at times sobering lyrics, his prowess behind the mic and captivating lyrics continue to impress numerous figures in the industry and pave the way for an exciting future in this space for Twelve Step Audio.
