Last month, Viper Recordings’ own Cyantific caused fresh chaos in the scene with Part 2 of his massive hit ‘Outatime’. With his sights set firmly on keeping the dancefloor alive this summer, the producer keeps on rolling out the goods as he follows up with brand new single ‘Robotic’.

We are lucky enough to get a quick interview and a top 5 from Cyantific before he dissappears back to the studio to make us some more amazing music!!

1. Q. Thanks for your time out! You have had a busy 2017 so far, how is it going for you?

A. Thank you for the questions. I have indeed, I’ve been in the studio solidly working hard on my album, and it’s going well!

2. Q. Your new single "Robotic" is out now, why the track title and what inspired you to make it?

A. The title is from the sample which I heard when I was watching a YouTube video about the direction society is heading - automation. I’d been listening to a load of old Dillinja tracks around the time I made it, and wanted to make something in that vein. Stomping!

3. Q. You've been producing and deejaying now with quite a back cat under your belt! Over the years, which tracks of yours has stood out or been a favourite?

A. Usually the newest one! If I had to pick one from recent years that I was really happy with it’s my remix of Outlines by Mike Mago. There’s just something about the way that one turned out that really works for me. It’s a song, but still a good dancefloor record.

4. Q. You have always been consistent with your sound quality. What's the most important bit of kit in your studio?

A. Thank you, I try to keep up, the standard of production is so good in this scene. My ears are the most important thing, no doubt.

5. Q. What DAW are you on and have you always been on it?

A. I use Logic. Mostly out of habit, I know how to get what I want out of it. I’ve been using it since about 2004.

6. Q. If you could collab with one person who would it be and why?

A. Rhianna, so I could take her out to dinner afterwards. That and her incredible voice, of course.

7. Q. Hhaha awesome. So you're signed exclusively to Viper, what's the plans for the next couple of years?

A. I’m just looking at doing this LP for now, that’s where all my focus is. I have some longer term goals, but those are all in my head!

8. Q. What gigs can we catch you at over this summer?

A. I’m going to be at Viper Live at Fire later this month, a few European and UK shows then I’m touring America in July.

9. What you drinking if we see you out?

A. Vodka lime & soda if I’m out out!
